Fall 2004

The Anthropology Club will be representing us during the first week of classes (ON Thursday) in the Free Speech Area. Do visit!

The Department of Anthropology will be hosting an anthropology student reception in September (TBA). This will be an opportunity for the students of the Summer Archeology Field School to report on their findings as well as give us all a chance to visit with others of “our tribe”.

Spring 2004

Dear Anthros,
We are being given a great opportunity with lecture from Arthur Kleinman. This is one of the “big names” in Cultural, Psychological and Medical Anthropology today. If you have taken Applied Anthropology with me, you would have read his “AIDS as Human Suffering” (with Paul Farmer).

I strongly encourage your attendance at this rare event.

DATE: Thursday, April 1
LOCATION: East Engineering 191
TIME: 7:00pm

TITLE: "Culture and Depression: Studies in Anthropology & Cross-Cultural Psychiatry of Affect and Disorder."
