Extra Credit Assignment: “Anthropologist of the Fortnight”
Prof. Hank Delcore
Culture Inscribed, the newsletter of the Anthropology Club, has a regular feature called “Anthropologist of the Fortnight.” (FYI, I looked up “fortnight” and found that is refers to a period of fourteen days.) Since we are covering major theories and some of their representative thinkers, you are uniquely positioned to contribute to the newsletter AND get extra credit !
First, review several newsletter editions and samples of “Anthropologist of the Fortnight” at: http://www.csufresno.edu/Anthropology/newsletter/index.htm. These will give you an idea of appropriate length and style.
Next, write your own “Anthropologist of the Fortnight” entry and submit it my email (in the text of the email and by attached document in MS Word format) to Jim Mullooly (jmullooly@csufresno.edu). He and I will select the best entries to appear in upcoming issue of the newsletter. Good submissions that do not get published will receive 10 points, and any submission that sees it into print will receive 20 points. Put some work into your submission; the 10 points is not “automatic.”
Submit “original work” only. Copying existing web sites is plagiarism.
