Online Courses and Distance Learning

Online courses and Distance Learning provide a convenient way for students living in remote areas to attend classes over the Internet and from various off-campus sites.

Online courses are delivered through Blackboard 24 x 7 via the Internet and require the student to have a computer and access to the Web. For information regarding Online Courses contact new window. Digital Campus.

Distance Learning courses are offered through two-way interactive television and are delivered from the campus classroom studios to designated classrooms throughout the valley and beyond. For information regarding Distance Learning sites, contact the new window. Academic Innovation Center.

How to Find Blackboard & Distance Learning Class Offerings

Online classes are identified by Classnote 17 which says:

Web-Based courses utilize Blackboard and are taught fully online. All course materials, assessment and grading are done online and not in a classroom. Fully online classes require the same amount of course work and hours as a regular class. Student must have a csufresno.edu email address before sign in.

Distance Learning classes are identified by Classnote 23 which says:

This section is offered through the Distance Learning office. It may be televised to various sites, including COS-Visalia and other sites off-campus. All students who register for a site must attend class at that site.

For more information about how to find Classnotes see Classnotes. A printer friendly version is also available at Printer Friendly Classnotes.
