EPT/ELM Information & Penalties

Information regarding both the EPT and the ELM tests, as well as possible exemptions from them, is also contained in the EPT/ELM Bulletin. Questions about specific exemption possibilities should be directed to the Admissions/Records Service Windows located in the north lobby of the Joyal Administration building. For more testing information and to register on-line for the EPT/ELM visit the Office of Testing Services web page, or call us at (559) 278-2457.

Penalties: Unless you are exempt, you must take the EPT and the ELM prior to enrollment in the CSU. According to CSU Executive Order 665, if you do not take these tests prior to the time of enrollment, you will not be allowed to enroll.

If you do not demonstrate college-level skills on the EPT and/or ELM, any remedial courses you take in order to attain such skills will not be counted toward completion of a bachelor's degree.
