The mission of University Health and Psychological Services (UHPS) is to help you realize your educational objectives.

Whether you are a new or returning student, your college years should be some of the most enjoyable and rewarding of your life. Illness, stress, and fatigue can inhibit and even hinder the educational and social rewards of attending college. Please take an active role in your own health. Become pro-active and knowledgeable about a healthy life-style.

The UHPS is staffed by full-time physicians in the specialties of Internal Medicine and Family Practice. The following consultant physicians are in the UHPS on a part-time basis: Psychiatrist, dermatologist, orthopedist, and radiologist. Physicians in the Women's Health clinic have special experience and training in the health concerns of women.

Nurse Practitioners, with special training and licensure, provide independent care, in consultation with our staff physicians.

Counselors are specially trained and have advanced degrees appropriate to the services which they provide.

Support and ancillary staffing include other members of the nursing profession; registered pharmacists; a physical therapist; clinical laboratory and radiologic (X-ray) technologists; health educators; and an experienced and knowledgeable office staff.

The UHPS is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for immediate and urgent care, Monday through Friday, when the campus is open. Scheduled clinic hours are 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4:45 p.m., Monday through Friday. Counseling intake/walk-in hours are from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Appointed hours are the same as that for medical services.
