Poet Angelou to speak at City College

African-American author and poet Maya Angelou will visit the campus of Fresno City College Thursday to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Brown vs. Board of Education Supreme Court decision.

The decision, announced May 17, 1954, ruled “separate educational facilities are inherently unequal.”

Angelou will address students and faculty in the North Gym. Tickets are $15, $5 with student ID, the public is welcome. For ticket information call 442-8221.
