Machines infected by a new computer virus are sending many messages that appear to come from a variety of legitimate sources but actually contain an attachment that will infect Windows machines if the attachment is opened.  Please do not open any attachment received from amazon.com, hallmark.com, hi5.com or twitter.com until you can be absolutely certain that the message, and attachment are legitimate.  A the current time, the most common names for the virus attachments are "postcard.zip" and "invitation card.zip".  ITS staff is working with our anti-virus vendors now to address this security threat and is taking steps to prevent the delivery of these messages.
