San Joaquin Valley Scholastic Press Association
The San Joaquin Valley Scholastic Press Association annually draws more than 200 area high school students to the Fresno State campus for workshops and competitions. The association conference is held the first Saturday of March each year.
Founded in 1931, the association is sponsored by the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism. Detailed, written critiques of high school newspapers and yearbooks are also provided by the association. The conference is highlighted each year by an address from an esteemed journalist.
