GUARANTEED RESERVE FORCES DUTY
|
The Guaranteed Reserve Forces Duty (GRFD) program is designed to for
cadets who are interested in obtaining a commission in the U.S. Army
Reserve or the National Guard with a guarantee for a reserve component
assignment. GRFD scholarships pay up to $17,000 tuition and fees per
year, depending on the type awarded. Scholarship awardees receive a book
allowance of $900 per year and receive a monthly tax-free stipend
ranging from $300 - $500. These cadets also receive weekend drill and
annual training pay as participants in the
Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP). The GRFD program is an
excellent opportunity for this individuals interested in pursuing a
civilian career with the degree attained at Fresno State and also earn a
commission as an officer in the Army that will make you further
