The SJVMP 2002 Follow-ups (Super Saturdays)

The five professional development workshops offered throughout the 2002-2003 academic year are designed to build upon the leadership of the initial summer institute experience. During the follow-ups, a portion of time will be spent in instructional level teams critically examining lessons that the teachers have developed, implemented, and revised since the summer institute. A portion of time will also be devoted to showcasing additional leadership opportunities in mathematics, curriculum alignment with standards, topics such as the differentiated instruction for all learners, assesment in mathematics classroom, English language learners and Intervention Strategies. Participation in the four-day series will be mandatory for Summer Institute participants and will be offered to all SJVMP alumni. Other interested teachers throughout the Central Valley will be invited to attend on a cost-recovery basis. If you want to find more information, please contact the Project Staff.
