The Nihonjinkai Japanese Student Association (JSA) is a group based from California State University, Fresno. Not only does the club appeal to Japanese Americans and International students, but to other ethnicities as well.
A social group that allows members to not only learn about Japanese culture, but other cultures as well. Nihonjinkai JSA is a diverse group that works to build friendships with one another and learn from one another as well.
JSA tries to accomplish these goals more fully and openly. By providing an atmosphere for Japanese and American students to meet and talk with others with similar interests, JSA cultivates interest in areas related to Japanese culture. It is commonly accepted that most of the international and racial problems of the United States are caused by ignorance. In some small ways, the JSA is helping solve this problem by encouraging interactions between Japanese and American people.
A regular participant in the annual Amerasia Week, JSA performances are a delight to watch. This year's presentation will include three cultural dances: Okami-san Solan, Sa-sa minna de dokkoisho and Rock Solan.
