DOGS SEASON COMES TO AN END

This weekend the Bulldogs traveled to Bakersfield, CA for the PCHA league playoffs. The Dogs took on the Santa Clara Broncos in their first round single elimination matchup. The Dogs were eager to get revenge after loosing two straight to the Broncos only weeks before. The first period saw an all too familiar circumstance with the Broncos scoring first on the power play. The Dogs answered right back with a goal from Freshman Phil Matson. The Broncos continued to take advantage of the power play and scored two more before Captain Derek Miller put one away in his last game as a Bulldog. Both teams skated fairly even until midway through the third period when the Broncos put it out of reach with four unanswered goals. The Dogs just couldn’t find the momentum to cut down the lead and ended in a 7-2 loss.
