Dan Pessano (of Fresno's own Good Company Players and Fresno State Alum) will be playing the role of Joe Keller, the manufacturer who sends twenty-one pilots to their death by knowingly shipping defective engine parts to the Army, in the University TheatreÕs presentation of All My Sons, which open an eight performance run at the John Wright Theatre on December 2nd.
In addition to Dan Pessano as the guilt-stricken father, others in the University TheatreÕs production will include Mike Oldham as Joe Keller's idealistic son Chris, who falls in love with the fiancˇ of his pilot brother Larry, reported missing in action three years before. Emily Pessano (DanÕs daughter) will be seen as the fiancˇ, Ann Deever, who learns that her father has been in jail for crimes committed by Chris's father. Jacque Babb is cast as Joe KellerÕs loyal wife Kate.
All My Sons, which will continue at the University Theatre through December 10th, was this first major success scored by Arthur Miller, who has been hailed as one of the most important writers of American Theatre. Miller is also the author of the Pulitzer Prize play, Death of A Salesman, The Crucible, The Price and other landmark stage successes. He died February 2005.
