Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Studies

The Associate Vice President and Dean of Undergraduate Studies works with faculty on academic planning and policy issues including curriculum development and changes to the general education program.  The dean sits on committees dealing with student academic petitions and disqualifications.  The Dean also works with the directors of the Smittcamp Family Honors College and the University 1 and Mentoring Institute.  The dean oversees production of the University Catalog and the Schedule of Courses and works with the Scheduling Office to ensure efficient and equitable utilization of classroom space and the upgrading of that space with wireless networks and other technological enhancements.
