Faculty Director of Academic Technology & Innovation (CSALT/TILT)
Dr. Rudy J. Sanchez
Rudy serves as Fresno State’s Director of Academic Technology & Innovation, which includes oversight of Technology Innovations for Learning and Teaching and the Center for the Scholarly Advancement of Learning and Teaching. He is also an associate professor of management in the Craig School of Business; and a co-principal investigator of the university’s $3.18 million Title V grant. Rudy serves on California State University’s Faculty Development Council. He is also the faculty support lead for Fresno State’s tablet program, DISCOVERe.
He is an award winning teacher and highly rated trainer. Rudy has provided leadership training to hundreds managers and executives from a variety of profit, not-for-profit, educational, and governmental organizations. Rudy teaches, conducts research, and facilitates workshops in the areas of educational technology, leadership, motivation, and strategy.

Dr. Ida Jones, J.D.
Ida M. Jones is the Director of the Center for the Scholarly Advancement of Learning and Teaching (CSALT) and is the Verna Mae and Wayne D. Brooks Professor of Business Law at the Craig School of Business, California State University Fresno. Ida earned her J.D. at New York University. Ida works closely with Technology Innovations for Learning and Teaching (TILT) assisting faculty use technology to promote learning. She teaches the introductory business law course for undergraduate business majors and sports marketing law for sports marketing majors and teaches in the MBA and Executive MBA programs. Ida has taught courses in human resources law and ethics for a variety of businesses, including PELCO, St. Agnes Medical Center and others.
Ida’s research interests involve promoting and improving learning through innovative and also proven teaching methods. These have included using Second Life (a 3D virtual world), Twitter (idaj) and many online tools to engage students and improve the learning environment. Ida has focused on technology and pedagogy in research and publications. Professor Jones has authored/coauthored instructor's manuals for business law textbooks, prepared Internet exercises for textbook publishers and published articles in a variety of journals, including the Journal of Legal Studies Education.
