Fresno State Small Business Development Center

OCED is a partner with Fresno State Small Business Development Center (Fresno State SBDC), which belongs to the University of California, Merced-Small Business Development Center (UCM-SBDC) Network. UCM-SBDC provides business assistance in Central California. Its mission is to provide entrepreneurs and small businesses with high-quality education, consulting, support for innovation, access to information and tools necessary to build successful sustainable businesses.

In addition to Fresno State SBDC, the UCM-SBDC Network of host institutions includes California State University, Bakersfield-Small Business Development Center (CSUB-SBDC), California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB-SBDC), Cal Poly SBDC for Innovation, and The Alliance in Stanislaus County-Small Business Development Center (Alliance SBDC).

Central California's geographic area is 51,000 square miles and spans from the Eastern Sierras to the Central Pacific. San Joaquin Valley counties represented are Fresno, Kings, Madera, and Tulare.
