Campus Accessibility Map

The Campus Accessibility Map was created for the Web by Sunil Kumar, a graduate student in the College of Engineering and Computer Science and a student assistant with the office of Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD). An original printed version of the map was issued in August, 1999, but is now out of print. This updated Web version makes it possible for greater numbers of individuals to access the map at any time, both on and off campus. It also allows for changes to the map to occur in a timely manner as additional accessibility features are added to the campus.

The following individuals, offices and organizations are gratefully acknowledged for their creative contributions and support of this project:

  • Advocates for Students with Disabilities, a student organization,
Ruth Saludes, the SSD Testing and Publications Coordinator,
    SIMS Architects and Target Stores

for the idea, creation and funding of the original Accessibility Map.
  • Ray Rahn, Project Manager, Facilities Planning Office,
without whose collaboration this project would not have been possible.
  • SIMS Architects
    for the updated architectural drawings.
  • Candace Egan and Juan Lucero
for their continued consultation and efforts to ensure Web accessibility.
  • Division of Student Affairs,
for continued support of staff efforts to promote disability awareness and services.
