Web Accessibility Policy
Draft, 4/3/03
(For insertion into the existing university Web Policy)
California State University, Fresno is strongly committed to providing an educational environment that assures comparable access to Web-based information and information technology for individuals with disabilities.
Web pages and Web-based services developed by or for an official unit of the university will be designed to be compatible with and accessible through commonly used assistive technology. Where reasonable, the university will provide Web-based course material that is accessible to all persons regardless of disability. The university will make every effort to assure that vendor supplied Web-based services comply with this accessibility policy to the greatest extent possible. Where appropriate, accommodations that ensure effective accessibility to course material will be provided through the Office of Services for Students with Disabilities.
This policy applies when new pages are created or existing pages are updated. This policy does not apply to the personal Web pages of faculty, staff or students or to university-affiliated Web pages.
