Application Fees
Policy Application Fees are non-refundable except as provided for in Title 5 which states in part "Application fees shall be refunded only upon satisfactory proof that the applicant was unable begin the term with respect to the application was made by reason of his or her death, physical disability or compulsory military service."
Procedures
- Application Fee Refund Request forms are reviewed and approved by the Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions Divisions.
- Approved applications are received by Accounting Services for fee payment certification. The Refund Specialist verifies payment and ensures that no outstanding balance is due to the University.
- Refund amount is net of any outstanding amounts owed to the University.
- The Disbursement Clerk mails refund checks after audit is performed.
Control
Accounting Services performs audit by comparing the refund check against the approved refund application request.
