Money Matters

Learn about Fresno State's administrative procedures and instructions for tuition payments, campus fees, payment options and parking permit sales and costs.

Cashier Services

Cashier Services is located in the Joyal Administration Building, south lobby. Cash, check and credit cards are accepted. Also available online at My Fresno State, for tuition and fee payment, is SmartPay.  SmartPay accepts credit cards and charges a convenience fee of 2.75%.

Fee Deferments

A Financial Aid Fee Deferment permits eligible students to delay payment of course registration fees.  Deferments are issued based on the expectation that fees will be paid by financial aid.  This deferment allows students with unpaid fees to remain registered for classes, but only until the fifth week of the semester.

Fee Waivers

The Employee Fee Waiver Program is a benefit for eligible faculty and staff employees of the California State University (CSU) system. It allows employees or their spouses, domestic partners or dependents, an opportunity to enroll in CSU general-fund courses at reduced rates. The fee waiver does not apply to courses in self-support programs including Extended Education Programs or Open University. Click here to visit the Human Resources website for more information about fee waivers.

Accounting Services is responsible for reporting and collecting tuition and fees.  Refunds are processed timely when established procedures are followed to cancel registration, drop courses, withdraw for an academic period or in the event of a returned check.
