Vice President for administration
Cynthia Teniente-Matson assumed the positionof Vice Presidentfor Administration and Chief Financial Officer in March 2004.
In her short time at Fresno State, Ms. Matson has been essential in executing many exciting initiatives such as the Henry Madden Library Addition and Renovation, the new Campus Master Plan, and the opening of new facilities to better serve out students.
Ms. Matson is the incoming Western Association of College and University Business Officers (WACUBO) President, and serves on the board of directors for Leadership California and the Central Valley Business Incubator (CVBI). She serves as the chair of the Fresno Council of Governments Measure C Citizen’s Oversight Committee. She is an active member of the Downtown Fresno Rotary Club.
Prior to her appointment at Fresno State, Matson served as Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services at the University of Alaska Anchorage. Over a 15-year career at the University of Alaska she held numerous positions including Associate Vice Chancellor for Budget and Finance and Director of Business Services. Matson received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in Management and her MBA from the University of Alaska Anchorage.
