Dr. Bert Mason
is a Professor of Agricultural
Economics and Director of the Center for Agricultural Business (CAB). The role of CAB is to conduct applied research and provide education and training for the California agribusiness industry. Dr. Mason received his B.A. in Economics from Stanford Univer
sity and his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from UC Davis. He was
raised in the southern San Joaquin Valley (Lindsay) where his family owned a citrus and olive farm. Dr. Mason currently teaches Agricultural Labor and Personnel Management. He has conducted research, worked with the agricultural industry, and taught in th
