A native of Fowler, California, is a Professor of Agricultural Economics specializing in farm and finance management, risk analysis, food industry management, and marketing. He received his B.S. Degree in Agricultural Business from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from University of California, Davis. He joined the CSUF faculty in 1984. Dr. Smith is the Coordinator of the Agricultural Business graduate program.
