A meeting of the Academic Senate was called to order by Chair Kus at 4:15 p.m. in the Upstairs Cafeteria, Room #200.

A. There will be a CETI Meeting with a group from Long Beach on Thursday from 9:00 until 12:00 in the Satellite Student Union.

B. Deidra will be gone on the 20th and the 27th. If we finish G.E. tonight there will be no meeting on the 20th.

C. CSU Board of Trustees announced shortly after 4:00 that Charles Reed was chosen as the new Chancellor of the CSU system.

The meeting was devoted to the General Education Review.

MS and withdrawn. Foundation Unit Requirement for General Education.

MSC Change title of Page 23, Section B. from Criteria Applying to Upper Division to "Criteria Applying to Integration Upper Division Courses of Areas B,C, and D."

MSF Add Area E. to Section B.1 so it reads, "(B,C,D, or E)."

MSF Delete Section B.3.

MSF Strike language after the word "department" in Section B.3.

MSF Add "or an equivalent project appropriate to the discipline."

Chair Kus announced that since the Academic Senate did not finish G.E. there will be a meeting on October 20th.

MSC to adjourn at 5:55 P.M.
