Systemwide Internal Partnership
Minutes of the Meeting
October 16, 1997 West Ed Conference Room

1. Workstations and desktops are now included in the scope of the project, but not part of the initial buildout at no charge. A statement is being drafted on this subject. The plan would be to pay for them with revenue realized from the SIP/CETI partnership, as well as normal campus expenditures, at better than market prices from CETI.

2. The MacIntosh issue will be included.

3. SIP staff agreed to prepare a new proposal before the deal is signed. (This was reported to the campus via info mail and listserv last week.)

4. CETI will provide electronic components and wiring to the faceplate at no charge to CSU. The corporations are funding. CSU funds anything beyond the faceplate.

5. This initial buildout will happen in all State-owned permanent buildings (In our case, it will not cover the San Ramon buildings or the Lab School). Corporate and SIP representatives will meet with the campus tec people the first week of November.

6. The Spencer Freund team is reviewing the revenue projections by vendors. They will verify quality and quantity of revenue projections.

7. Fresno will have a chance to clarify the budget numbers (regarding the $122 million).
