At the Oct 28 meeting, the CSUSB Faculty Senate passed the following
resolution:
							FSD 97-04

		CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY, SAN BERNARDINO
				    FACULTY SENATE

Executive Committee	     					October 1997

             RESOLUTION ON THE TIMELINE FOR 
    APPROVAL AND REQUEST FOR INDEPENDENT REVIEW OF THE
         CALIFORNIA EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY INITIATIVE (CETI)

WHEREAS:	The proposed CETI business plan is extremely complex and
detailed, and

WHEREAS:	The implications for the CSU and all constituencies are profound, 
		therefore be it

RESOLVED:	That the Faculty Senate of California State University, San
Bernardino, 
recommends the process of review and response be extended a minimum
		of six months after publication of the final CETI master (framework) 
		contract language and business plan, and that any contractual or other
		signature event, including final approval, not take place before an
		independent review by analysts representing CFA, CSEA, and the CSU 
		Systemwide and campus Academic Senates.
