Subject: POSTPONEMENT OF SIP MEETING SCHEDULED FOR 4/14-15

Colleagues, first permit an apology for such late notice. After consultation regarding the current state of negotiations, it is appropriate at this point to postpone our meeting until we have made additional progress. We are at a critical juncture which requires the attention of all directly involved and continue to be in a position of being non-disclosed until the negotiations are completed. Our ITS-TII plan--the result of many months of work by SIP members--is in the process of being printed but requires the last portion regarding the results of negotiations. Obviously, the campus consultation period will need to be postponed as well and an announcement will be forthcoming regarding this. Please continue to work with your task groups.

I was asked by a colleague if the postponement was a sign that our efforts have stalled. My response was that no, not stalled, just taking a good deal of time given the complexity of what we are attempting to accomplish and the fact that all of us are committed to achieving the best possible deal, short and long term, for the CSU.

Thank you again for your patience and involvement. We will arrange a meeting as soon we have information.
