After considerable consultation and planning (see November 2000 and April 2001 reports), California State University, Fresno is moving rapidly towards its commitment to providing a first-rate technological infrastructure dedicated to supporting teaching and learning (see President Welty’s letter for a brief description of the Smart Classroom, Wireless Network, and Faculty Laptop initiatives).
Important documents associated with the planning process and its implementation are linked below:
Projected five year costs for implementation of the technology strategic plan.
Timeline and milestones for implementation of the technology strategic plan.
Implementation of this complex and interrelated set of initiatives will require on-going consultation and planning to adjust to a dynamic environment. Beyond building out infrastructure in hardware and software and improving our technical support, we also will be continuing to meet our needs for professional development and training to learn how and when to use these technologies wisely in our teaching, scholarship, and service. At Fresno State, we have been building an infrastructure for technology second to none in the CSU. Our vision is to make technology ubiquitously available to faculty, students, and staff as they need it.
