They say kids don't come with a "How To" manual, but the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism have put together a guide for parents entitled, "What Parents Need to Know About College Drinking."
This 12-page booklet may not have all the answers but it does provide solid facts about the scope of the college drinking problem, information on the effectiveness of intervention programs on college campuses, and some tips on how parents can be the primary influence on their sons and daughters-before and after they have left the nest.
