Angela Alejandro.A freshman working towards a BA in business administration within the Craig School of Business, Angela Alejandro has been named a Craig Scholar. She graduated summa cum laude from San Joaquin Memorial High in Fresno. “The FSAA scholarship allows me to focus on my studies,” she says. “I can study more and work less.” Angela has declared an emphasis in accounting.

Fresno State alumna Dr. Luz Gonzalez [1983, 1987] has been named Dean of the College of Social Sciences. She has served as Associate and Interim Dean, as well as assisted in establishing the Cesar Chavez bronze monument for the Peace Garden at Fresno State.

Stephen Abas.Stephen Abas, a former Fresno State Wrestler and the U.S. Olympic Silver Medalist [Athens], has been named to the NCAA Division I 75th Anniversary Team, celebrating the best college wrestlers from the past 75 years. He was honored by the FSAA at the Top Dog Alumni Awards Gala in 2004 and with a personalized brick on Bulldog Walkway.

Trent Dilfer.Trent Dilfer [1993] is the new Quarterback for the Cleveland Browns. He is an FSAA Life Member. 

ArvinMeritor.James Donlon [1968] has been named Senior Vice President and CFO for ArvinMeritor in Troy, MI.  

Marlene Duncan.Marlene [Tucker] Duncan [1969] has been credentialed as the sole female Master Instructor in the U.S. by the Civilian Marksmanship Program. Marlene and her husband, Jack Duncan [1969] teach retired J.R.O.T.C. instructors on how to teach high school students air rifle marksmanship.

Jerry Dyer.Jerry Dyer [1984] has been elected Third Vice President of the California Police Chiefs Association, putting him in line to head the organization that represents more than 300 chiefs and police departments. A FSAA member, Dyer is the Chief of Police for the City of Fresno. 

Frank Gilstrap.Frank Gilstrap [1968] has been named Resident Director of the Texas A&M University System Agricultural Research & Extension Center in Dallas. 

Orlando Huff.Orlando Huff has signed a two-year contract with the Arizona Cardinals. As a Bulldog, Huff was a two-time All-Western Athletic Conference selection with a team-leading 94 tackles. 

Haight Ashbury Free Clinics.Darryl Inaba has been appointed President/CEO for the Haight Ashbury Free Clinics, Inc. in San Francisco which serves 65,000 individuals on an annual basis. Dr. Inaba is also the author of "Uppers, Downers, All Arounders."

Central California Pride Network.Charlotte [Lawrence] Jenks [1997] serves as Executive Director for the Central California Pride Network, based in Fresno 

Adam LaZarre.Adam LaZarre [1997] is the Winemaker at Hahn Estates in Soledad, CA. 

Lauire Marshall.Laurie Marshall [1999] has been presented the 2005 Golden Torch Award for Outstanding Woman in Tehnology of the Year by the National Society of Black Engineers. Marshall is a Areospace Engineer at the NASA Dryen Flight Research Center.

Marcus Wesson: Mysterious Web of Deception.Julia Dudley Najieb [1995] has authored the book titled "Marcus Wesson The Mysterious Web of Deception." 

John Patnott.John Patnott [1973] has celebrated his 25th year of coaching swimming. The Head Coach of Men's Swimming at Hope College in Holland, MI, Patnott was named NCAA Division III Coach of the Year in 1991, 1994 and 1998.

Herbert Scott.Herbert Scott [1964] has released a new book of poems, "Sleeping Woman." He also has recently retired from the English Department at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo after 36 years. 

Muriel Smittcamp and Chuck Poochigian.Muriel [Schmeiser] Smittcamp [1940] was named 2005 Woman of the Year by Senator Chuck Poochigian [1972] for California's 14th Senate District. Smittcamp and Poochigian are FSAA Life Members.

Randy Stumpfhauser.Randall "Stumpy" Stumpfhauser [2003] is a three-time International Cycling Union World Champion. A native of Sanger, CA, he has been racing professionally for the past nine years. 

Georgia Review.Brian Turner [1994] soon-to-be-released book of poems, "Here, Bullet," has been awarded the Beatrice Hawley First Book Price by Alice James Books, which was written while Turner was serving in the U.S. Armed Forces in Iraq. The title poem was also featured in the Fall 2004 issue of "The Georgia Review." 

Pacific Ethanol.Ryan Turner [2004] is the COO of Pacific Ethanol, Inc., a company founded by Bill Jones [1971]. Turner is a recent graduate of the Executive MBA program at Fresno State; Jones is the former Secretary of State [R-Calif.] and a FSAA Life Member.
