Fresno native, Amanda Fitts has maintained a 3.85 GPA and is a

Fresno State actors Blake Ellis and Kris Cardieux performed Irene Ryan
Acting Competition held at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. last

More than 200 mechanical engineering students from around the nation built
and raced Human Powered Vehicles on campus. The event was organized by the
Fresno State Student Chapter of the American Society of Mechanical
Engineering.
Volunteer Service
Award Reception
President John D. Welty
will award 98 Fresno State students the
President’s Volunteer Service Award, a national honor recognizing
volunteer service. Approximately 4,800 Fresno State students volunteer
more than 192,000 hours of community service annually. These students will
be recognized at a private reception later this month.

represent that country in the Tour De L’Aude in May.

The Bulldog Foundation’s top fundraiser the past two years, Al Deniz, has
been recognized as the nation’s most successful volunteer by the National
Association of Athletic Development Directors. “Mr. Bulldog” has a
collective total of fundraising the past 35 years is $2.7 million.

Robert
Gauthier [1983], a photographer
for "The Los Angeles Times," is a member of the news team awarded the
Pulitzer Prize for Public Service. The Gold Award was for "The Times'"
five-part series that dealt with inadequate care at Martin Luther King,
Jr./Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Ted
Hallisey [1991] is known as "Cowboy Ted"
and operates the "Cowboy Ted's Kids Club" available online.
Jesus
Hernandez is the newest member
of Belnavis Racing and the driver of the team's No. 17 Waste Management
late model stock car. He's now racing in a weekly NASCAR series.

Jones [1971] has been appointed
Director and Chairman of the Board of Pacific Ethanol in Fresno. He was
honored by the FSAA at the

first round of the NFL draft by the New England Patriots. The 32nd

promoted to Regional Manager of Operational Leadership for Kleinfelder,
Inc. for seven locations within Central California.
Cameron
McClure [2004], who raps under
the name Sole Profit, won the recently-held Hip-Hop Supastar contest.

Sam Peckinpah [1948] directed
the film "Major Dundee." The 1965 film has been posthumously re-released
and re-edited for DVD and a return to theatres.
