She’s also the treasurer of the National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association. “I’m completing my degree with the assistance that the FSAA has given me,” she said. “With this support, I’ll be able to pursue graduate school next year.”

President John D. Welty will award 98 Fresno State students the President’s Volunteer Service Award, a national honor recognizing volunteer service. Approximately 4,800 Fresno State students volunteer more than 192,000 hours of community service annually. These students will be recognized at a private reception later this month.

The Bulldog Foundation’s top fundraiser the past two years, Al Deniz, has been recognized as the nation’s most successful volunteer by the National Association of Athletic Development Directors. “Mr. Bulldog” has a collective total of fundraising the past 35 years is $2.7 million.

Computer Recylers of America.Computer Recyclers of America has opened a Central California office operated by Kevin J. Dillon [2000] and Ryan Whittaker [2000].

Robert Gauthier.Robert Gauthier [1983], a photographer for "The Los Angeles Times," is a member of the news team awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Public Service. The Gold Award was for "The Times'" five-part series that dealt with inadequate care at Martin Luther King, Jr./Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles. 

Ted Hallisey.Ted Hallisey [1991] is known as "Cowboy Ted" and operates the "Cowboy Ted's Kids Club" available  online.

Jesus Hernandez.Jesus Hernandez is the newest member of Belnavis Racing and the driver of the team's No. 17 Waste Management late model stock car. He's now racing in a weekly NASCAR series.

Bill Jones.Bill Jones [1971] has been appointed Director and Chairman of the Board of Pacific Ethanol in Fresno. He was honored by the FSAA at the Top Dog Alumni Awards Gala in 1999. Jones is an FSAA Life Member.

Nathan Magsig.Nathan Magsig [1999] has been elected City of Clovis' Mayor.

Logan Mankins.Logan Mankins was selected in the first round of the NFL draft by the New England Patriots. The 32nd player selected overall, he is projected to play guard in the NFL.

Tony Martin.Robert "Tony" Martin [1986] has been promoted to Regional Manager of Operational Leadership for Kleinfelder, Inc. for seven locations within Central California. 

Sole Profit.Cameron McClure [2004], who raps under the name Sole Profit, won the recently-held Hip-Hop Supastar contest. 

"Major Dundee" directed by Sam Peckinpah.D. Sam Peckinpah [1948] directed the film "Major Dundee." The 1965 film has been posthumously re-released and re-edited for DVD and a return to theatres.

Pellegrini Family Vineyards.Gregory Stach [1992] is the Associate Winemaker for Pellegrini Family Vineyards in Santa Rosa.

Tree Fresno.Susan [Nielsen] Stiltz [1988] is the Projects Director for Tree Fresno. 

Jay Tomlinson.Jay Tomlinson [1959] has been hired as Manager of Northern Nevada Operations for StoneHedge Financial Group.

Katrina Williams.Katrina [Brenget] Williams [1972], a fourth-grade teacher at Steinbeck Elementary in Fresno, was honored by President George W. Bush at a White House reception at the Presidential Awards for Mathematics and Teaching Program.
