In the past decade, more than $500,000 has been donated to students. The FSAA allocates 10% of annual membership fees to a Student Scholarship Endowment Fund. The FSAA ranks No. 1 out of the alumni associations on the 23 campuses of the CSU system with student scholarship giving!

An agricultural communications major from Easton, she’s a FSAA student scholarship recipient and also a member of the Smittcamp Family Honors College. “I’m very thankful for the countless of opportunities that have come my way while attending Fresno State,” she said. “FSAA members are the foundation to the success of so many students, including myself. Thank you for your generosity.”

Professor Emeritus of Classics Victor Davis Hanson has been named the recipient of the Claremont Institute’s Statesmanship Award for 2006. Currently the Martin and Illie Anderson Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, he most recently published book is “A War Like No Other: How the Athenians and the Spartans Fought the Peloponnesian War,” published in October by Random House.

Al Radka.Al Radka [1941] has been posthumously honored with the naming of Al Radka Park in Fresno. An all-conference football player at Fresno State College, he was an FSAA Life member.

Luis Santana.Luis Santana is the Executive Director of the Fresno Covenant Foundation [FCF], overseeing programming geared to improve student achievement, including development and replication of after school literacy programs.

Nick Watney.Nicolas “Nick” Watney [2003] participated in the Save Mart Shootout golf tournament at the Riverbend Golf Club in Fresno. 

Jeff Weaver.Jeff Weaver, a former Fresno State pitcher, started Game 5 of the World Series for the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday and led the Cardinals to a 4-2 victory over the Detroit Tigers.
