native Jodi Miysaki is a sophomore earning a BA degree in Mass
Communication and Journalism. She is also a member of the Student Alumni
Association. Jodi comes from a Bulldog family, too. Her parents, Rick and
Marlene Miysaki, also attended Fresno State. “This

Born in Provo, Utah; Jonathan Good recently graduated with his BS

Reserve Oil Wins Awards
Fresno State
Orchards’ Estate Reserve Olive Oil—Fresno
State’s
inaugural pressing—has won a bronze medal at the San Diego Bay Wine and
Food Festival. The “olive for oil” project is conducted on a 22-acre block
of super high-density planting on Fresno State’s Agricultural Laboratory.
The olive oil is available in 500 ml. bottles for $14.95 at the Farm

Fresno State's creative writing professor
Steve Yarbrough’s newest novel, "The End of California" [Random
House] was selected as one of the Kansas City Star’s 100 Notable Books of
2006. Published in June and a Book-of-the-Month Club selection in July,
the book was selected among the 27 novels chosen by the newspaper’s panel
and by book readers.

State Honey
A beekeeping project with the Plant Science Department in the spring is
now producing jars of honey this fall. Bee Club members have produced
approximately 400 bottles from six beehives—with 30,000 to 60,000 insects
per hive. The 8-oz. jars are available for $5.95 each at the Farm Market.

"Eastwood" Woodard,
a Hip-Hop artist based in Los Angeles, has been signed to a
recording deal with Jaded Entertainment with a highly anticipated album,
"Making History." As a student, Eastwood was a member of Fresno State's
Men's basketball team in 1999.
