A
junior, Megan Jacobsen follows in her brother’s [Ryan Jacobsen, ’02
and ’04] footsteps to Fresno State. An agricultural communications major
from Easton, she’s a FSAA student scholarship recipient and also a member
of the
Smittcamp Family Honors
College. “I’m very thankful for the countless of opportunities that
have come my way while attending Fresno State,” she said. “FSAA members are the foundation to the success of so many students,
including myself. Thank you for your generosity.”
A
sophomore, Jared Lindo is the inaugural recipient of the
Bulldog Pride
Fund, an endowment scholarship maintained by the FSAA. A civil
engineering major, he’s also the third brother from his Modesto-area
family to attend Fresno State. “I dearly appreciate this kindness,” says
Jared. “I promise to work hard with my studies to make you proud!”

The $105 million Henry Madden Library project at Fresno State is featured
in the
American Association of Architects for its emphasis on the region’s
history and Native American design.

State’s Solaré Wine Wins Double Gold Medal
The Fresno State Vineyards’ 2003 California Solaré dessert wine won at
"The San Francisco Chronicle" Wine Competition. Fresno State was the first
university in the nation bonded to produce, bottle, and sell wine
commercially, and the only university among the 1,572 wineries at the

[1983] composed the music for the film, "Screamers," which features the
multi-platinum, Grammy-award winning band System of the Down. The
documentary is about the Armenian genocide of 1915.

[2003] and her husband,

[2000] are the proud parents of their daughter Mary Louise, born
December 28.

is a wide receiver for the Atlanta Falcons. As a Bulldog, he was the fifth
player in school history to total more than 4,000 all-purpose yards in a
career.

[1987] published "The Forestiere Underground Gardens: A Pictorial Journey"
about the Forestiere Underground Gardens in Fresno.

Maples
[1966] is retiring from his district 5 seat as Tulare County Supervisor.
Louis
Mayo
[1952] was a guest-editor of the "Police Chief" magazine for a piece on
"College Education and Policing". He is the founder of a non-profit
organization Police Association for College Educations.
Jean
McAbee
[1970] was featured in the article "Built with love" published by "The
Fresno Bee."
Diana
Meehan
[1965] spoke at Fresno State about the Archer School for Girls in Los
Angeles. She is an award-winning documentarian and a founding director of
the Institute for the Study of Women and Men at USC.
Robert
Morris
[1994] was appointed president and chief operating officer of Atlas
Pacific, which have designed and manufactured fruit and vegetable
processing equipment for more than 50 years.

[1980] was featured in the article "This exercise in math clearly for the
birds" published in "The Fresno Bee."
Henry
T. Perea
[2001] has been named president of the Fresno City Council. He represents
the people of District 7.
Albert
Radka
[1941] was honored posthumously with a television special on KGMC that
features the recent naming of Al Radka Park in Fresno.
Edward
Sbragia
[1977], owner of Beringer Vineyards, has formed Sbragia Family Vineyards
to make and sell wine from his family’s property in the Dry Creek area of
Sonoma County. He received an FSAA Top Dog Alumni Award in 2006.
Sandra
Schram
[1996] was featured in the article "Holiday helping hand" published by
"The Fresno Bee." Sandra is a volunteer with the Salvation Army.
Mabelle
Selland
[1972] was featured in “The Fresno Bee” for her efforts to preserve the
Old Administration Building, which will be restored in a two year project.
Matthew
Tarazon
[2005] was featured on FresnoStateNews.com for his service with the Army
in Iraq. He serves with fellow Bulldogs, which he says makes him feel
closer to home.
Gary
Washburn
[1966] retired from the California Legislature as district director. Gary
served as an accredited radio/television news reporter in the State
Capitol and covered the campaign of Ronald Reagan for Governor.
Jeff
Weaver
signed with the Seattle Mariners for a reported $8 million plus deal for
the 2007 season. He won the World Series with the St. Louis Cardinals
2006.
Melissa
Wolfmann
[1992] appears as one of the evil stepsisters in
Fresno Grand Opera's
production of "Cenerentola" [Cinderella]. She also directed the Fresno
Grand Opera Chorus for this production.
