Jodi comes from a Bulldog family, too. Her parents, Rick and Marlene Miysaki, also attended Fresno State. “This FSAA scholarship helps me greatly,” she said. “Thank you for the support.”

A member of the campus ROTC, Jonathon plans to begin his career as a U. S. Army nurse. “Thank you for this scholarship,” he said. “I will always remember what the FSAA has done for me.”

Adam J. Bernay.Adam J. Bernay [2001] is now a rabbi, leading a local congregation, Beit Tefillah Messianic Fellowship. He received his Masters of Theology in Rabbinic Studies from the Messianic Bible Institute in 2005.

Sidney Cox. Sidney Cox [1952] received the 2007 Leon S. Peters Award for his outstanding leadership and devotion to the Central Valley community through his involvement with organizations such as the Boy Scouts of America, Ag One, and Clovis Unified School District.

James Helzer. James Helzer
[1960] has served on the Board of Directors of Lincoln Hill for two years and is now running for a third consecutive year. He is an FSAA member.

Akinsanya Kambon. Akinsanya Kambon [1974] has an art gallery in Long Beach, Calif. where he displays his art and also uses it to teach African-American history and cultural heritage.

Lane Kiffin. Lane Kiffin [1999] is the new head coach of the Oakland Raiders. The 31-year-old is the youngest coach in the NFL.

Triptych restaurant.David Kittredge [1990] is the owner of the San Francisco restaurant, Triptych which was featured in the Feb. 2007 issue of “San Francisco Downtown.” [Online]

Randall Leach. [Photo by Christian Parley/ THE FRESNO BEE].Randall Leach [1976] was featured in the article titled "Retiring from the job, but not the case" published by "The Fresno Bee." He retired from his post as Corcoran police Commander. 

Pete Mehas. [Photo by THE FRESNO BEE].Pete Mehas [1962] is featured in the article titled "County schools' former chief stays busy" published by "The Fresno Bee." Since retiring last year, Mehas has taken on other activities including serving as co-chairman of a fundraising effort to complete restoration of the historic Old Administration Building at Fresno City College.

Robert Mikell.Robert Mikell [1972] was featured in the article titled “Q&A Discover the Valley’s rich history” published by “The Fresno Bee.” He became one of the first black professors at Fresno State to teach management and marketing.

Alan Mikuni. Alan Mikuni [1970] has received the 2007 American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing fellow award. The award is given to members who show exceptional service in advancing the science and use of the mapping sciences.

Nicholas Moresi, outfielder for the Tri-City Valleycats.

Nicholas Moresi was drafted in the third round by the Tri-City Valleycats pro-baseball team. He was a standout at Fresno State.

Janice Noga Speace.Janice Noga Speace [1980] and Oscar Speace reprise “Janka” at the Fresno Art Museum’s Bonner Auditorium on March 8.  [Online]

Darrel Pyle. Darrel Pyle [1993] is featured in the article titled "City leader tells class to value education" published by "Tulare Advance-Register." He is the City of Tulare Manager.

Beacon Power logo.Virgil Rose [1968] was elected to the Beacon Power Board of Directors, which is a corporation that designs and develops advanced products and services to support more stable, reliable and efficient electricity grid operation.

David Sutherland. David Sutherland [1980] is featured in an article titled "Sutherland trading PGA Tour for teaching career" published by "The Sacramento Bee." David is giving up professional golf this year and focusing on earning a high school teaching credential.

Susan Thompson. Susan Thompson [1984] is the county administrative officer for San Benito County.

Michael Wise, sports columnist for the "Washington Post".Michael Wise [1988] is a sports columnist for the "Washington Post." He has also written two books, including one with Shaquille O'Neal that was a bestseller.
