HBSA Honored
The Hispanic Business Student Association at California State University, Fresno has been recognized as the National Chapter of the Year.  The award was presented at the National Hispanic Business Association’s annual Leadership Conference in Chicago on Nov. 3. The award acknowledges the chapter’s “exemplary student leadership and local commitment to the Fresno community, education and the professionalism of its members.” [read more]

Climate Change Conference
The California Agricultural Technology Institute (CATI) will host a conference, "Row-crop Farming and Climate Change: What the Future Holds," from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 13 at the California State University, Fresno Satellite Student Union. The free public event is hosted in collaboration with the California Farm Bureau Federation, California Cotton Ginners and Growers associations, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Resources Conservation Service and Sustainable Conservation, a nonprofit environmental organization that works to promote environmentally and economically sound business practices. Fresno State Jazz Bands Holiday Concert
This will be the final fall semester concert for our Jazz Bands and will feature many of the department's top instrumental music students. Expect a little holiday flair and some great jazz. Alumni and Friends of the Craig School of Business
The Alumni and Friends of the Craig School of Business was established in 1989 to promote the interests of The Craig School of Business and to establish mutually beneficial relations between the School and its alumni. Major events planned by the Chapter include an annual wine tasting in the fall and a golf tournament in the spring. Nation Humanities Medal Winner
Dr. Victor Davis Hanson, professor emeritus of Classics at California State University, Fresno, will receive a National Humanities Medal from President George W. Bush at a White House ceremony Thursday, Nov. 15. Hanson, who co-founded the Classics Program at Fresno State, is one of 10 individuals and foundations to be honored with the Humanities Medal. Richter Center for Community Engagement Formally Named
Trustees of the California State University system have approved the naming of the Bud and Jan Richter Center for Community Engagement and Service-Learning at Fresno State. The naming recognizes a $3.5 million gift from the Richter's that was announced by President John D. Welty in August. FSAA extends a special thank you to the Richter Family. [read more]

Nicolas Watney
Mr. Watney (2003) competed in the British Open at Carnoustie, Scotland. This is Watney's second experience in a major Open, having won previously in the New Orleans Open and the Zurich Classic. Watney graduated from California State University, Fresno and is an active member of the President's Circle.

Jennifer Lucero
Ms. Jennifer Lucero (2002) is proud to announce the birth of a baby girl bulldog, Brianna Francisca Heintz. She was born on August 17, 2007 in Clovis, CA Clovis Community Hospital, and weighed 6 lb., 9 oz..
