Jim Hoagland (1961), journalism major, and Gary Taylor (1962), physical education major, were roommates during the first year of Homan Hall and reunited at the Fresno vs. Hawaii football game after 47 years. Gary was the center on the Undefeated 1961 Mercy Bowl Team that was inducted into the Fresno Hall of Fame in 2006. |

Hozhoni Arts
Kathy Hozhoni (1974) was born and raised in San Benito County California. Surrounded by a family of artists, she has been professionally creating contemporary abstract acrylic paintings, oils and murals for 13 years.
Hozhoni artwork have been seen throughout the United States, Europe, and Mexico. Critics claim her work is colorful, alive and carries happiness one can feel. Kathy's work represents an adventurous attitude towards living." Hozhoni" means oneness with the universe, right feeling and thinking and arrival at a peaceful place.

Charles Poochigian (1972) has been appointed the associate justice of the Court of Appeal, Fifth Appellate District, by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
William Zumwalt (1969) is retiring as the director of the Kings County Community Development Department. Zumwalt is retiring after more than 16 years as the county's chief planner and a career that began in the early 1970s when he was hired as a draftsman in Hanford's Public Works Department.

Adele (Bissett) Bartholomew (1964) and Phil Bartholomew have been selected as Grand Marshals for the 2009 Heritage Days event that will be held September 19th. Adele is also the current president of Madera County Cattle Women and is on the California Cattle Women's Board of Directors.
Stephen Susdorf (2008) and Kelsey Abejon are happy to announce their engagement.
Matthew Potter (1999) co-directed the film "Goodbye Victoria" with Diran Lyons. "Goodbye Victoria" is a film that Lyons describes as a "hipster-flavored homage to [Jean-Luc] Godard."
Jan Yanehiro (1970) is now the director of the School of Multi Media Communications at the San Francisco Academy of Art University.
Erin Martinez (2008) and Eddie Hernandez are engaged and are excited to be married September 19, 2009 in Santa Cruz.
Miguel Arias has been hired as Fresno Unified School District's chief information officer. Arias has worked as a district representative and legislative assistant to former U.S. Rep. Cal Dooley (D-Hanford), served as a Mendota Unified trustee and been chief of staff to Fresno City Council Member Blong Xiong.
Todd Hansen (1984) has been appointed managing editor of Tri-County Newspapers.
Graydon Nichols was inducted into the United States Tennis Association Northern California Hall of Fame. Nichols captured two world singles titles. His latest title was the 2007 world championship in Christchurch, New Zealand. The 2007 world title allowed Nichols to end the season ranked No. 1 in the world.
Rosalina Rivera (2004) is the first Latina to head a Kern County school district. She works as the superintendent of the Delano Joint Union High School District.
Arlene Laurison (1987) is now representing California for the 2009-10 Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST).
Gary L. Washburn (1966) has been appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, to the Board of Directors of the Agricultural Association, District 51, San Fernando Valley.
