Give a Gobbler reaches first goal – 102 Thanksgiving turkeys

Left - From left to right is Randy Stephenson, Jerry Kazynski and Mitch Casteel, all are Geology graduates from 1981. This photo was taken near the hot springs in Saline Valley, now a part of Death Valley National Park. They meet for multi-day 4-wheel drive camping expeditions in southeast California a couple times each year. Randy works in the oil patch for Aera Energy in Bakersfield, analyzing geologic data for petroleum reservoir engineering. Jerry is a project manager for HerSchy Environmental, conducting site assessments, remediation projects and resolving specialty groundwater problems. Mitch is an independent consultant providing exploration geologist services for precious minerals mining ventures in the Great Basin states.

Sky’s the limit for engineering students with Unmanned Aerial Vehicle
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s the unmanned aerial vehicle designed, built and operated by students in the Lyles College of Engineering at California State University, Fresno. The Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Project at Fresno State has brought 15 graduate and undergraduate engineering students together with one common goal: design, construct, and operate an aerial vehicle that will be able to receive predetermined coordinates from a computer, fly to that location and pinpoint a target. S. Craig Holland (1969) has retired from the Kern School District after 20-plus years of service. He continues to work on voiceover acting and novel writing.
Mr. Holland is a LIFE member of the Fresno State Alumni Association

Tree FresnoKaren Lee Smith Maroot (1992) has been named interim executive director of Tree Fresno. The organization has planted more than 35,000 trees in the greater Fresno area since it was founded in 1985.

Eric RawnEric Rawn (2001) is CEO and President of BCT Consulting, which was featured in an article entitled 'Best Companies to Work for in Central California.' Mr. Rawn is a LIFE member of the Fresno State Alumni Association

Thomas SparksThomas Sparks, Ph.D. (1973), Dow AgroSciences researcher has been named "Scientist of the Year" by R&D Magazine.

Fresno Arts CouncilCindy Dunn has been named executive director of the Fresno Arts Council.
