Class Notes 

 

Mark Astone (1988, 2000), the CEO of Catalyst Marketing Co., has been selected as the Pacific Regional Chapter Health Officer of YPO (Young Presidents Organization), a position responsible for assisting seven other chapters in development and growth across seven western states. He was named a Top Dog Alumnus Awardee by the Fresno State Alumni Association on behalf of the Division of Student Affairs in 2001. 


Jenny Brooks (2013) and James Karibian(2007) were married on April 12, 2014 at Fort Washington Country Club in Fresno, Calif. They met on July 4, 2008 at Bass Lake. She’s a designer with Tangram Interiors; he’s an territory development manager with Office Depot. (Photo by Kimi G Photography). 


Flavia Flores (2005) now has her product P*DE*Q, a tapioca-based cheese bread, sold in 23 Northern California and Central Valley Costco locations. Her team will be traveling to each store to promote this Fresno based product.More Read more



Derek Franks (2007) is the vice president of sales for the Fresno Grizzlies. His first position with the baseball club was as the box office intern, where he helped run the ticket office, worked the window and printed season tickets. In 2011, he was named to Fresno Business Street’s “40 Under 40” list. 


Chantea (Fleming) McIntyre (2004) has been crowned Mrs. California – her third pageant title – including Mrs. Fresno County and Mrs. Tulare County. A member of the Bulldogs’ Women’s Basketball team from 2000 to 2004, she will compete for the Mrs. America title later this summer.


Johnny Mendez, Jr. (2012) has been named a group sales account executive with the two-time WNBA Champion Seattle Storm. He organizes group outings for non-profits, corporations and personal groups with the team, and assists in coordinating fundraising efforts through ticket sales. As a student, he interned with Bulldog Sports Properties.
