Art 179 - Development of Artistic Expression
A course that covers a wide range of art activities from art criticism to studio projects. Field trips and cooperative group activities are an integral part of the course.
CTET 161 - Methods and Materials in Secondary Art
A course designed to prepare future art teachers for careers in middle schools and high schools. Students must be accepted into the Universitys School of Education and Human Development Teaching Credential Program to enroll in this class.
EHD 155B - Final Student Teaching
The last course taken by teaching credential candidates. Student teachers are placed with Master Teachers in the local school districts for a semester of full-time teaching.
Art 70/170 - Crafts and Advanced Crafts
Explains traditional crafts media, primarily using natural materials. Students develop their expressive abilities as they transform traditional imagery and processes into contemporary art forms. Field trips to various museums and galleries are an important aspect of the course.
Art 100T - Art, Culture, and Ethnicity
Explains the art forms that are representative of the artistic and cultural heritage of this region. This lecture/discussion class expands ones understanding of the origin and use of various ethnic aesthetics and cultural symbols as well as the interrelationship of these symbol systems.
Art 100T - Community Art Workshop
Acquaints students with the art, artists, and art agencies and institutions in Fresno and the surrounding area. students select a specific project and develop a proposal for enhancing the artistic possibilities of our region through an internship of new ideas. Field trips and cooperative projects are an important part of the course.
Art 100T - Art in the Community
Helps students gain an understanding and appreciation for the public art works that are part of the Fresno areas cultural environment. Students keep a journal of their impressions and analyses of sculptures, paintings, fountains, architectural sites, installations, and galleries. Field trips are an integral part of this class.
