Spend three weeks in Florence, Italy with Professors Gina Strumwasser and José Diaz - the birthplace of the Renaissance! Nestled in the heart of Tuscany, you'll see original artworks painted and sculpted by Michelangelo, DaVinci, Giotto and Botticelli among other great artists. Visit the famous Duomo and galleries in the Uffizi, Pitti, and Medici palaces. Experience the music of the great Renaissance composers that inspired Florentines in religious devotions, civic pride, courtly and home entertainment, and rediscovery of humanistic values. Day excursion to neighboring Siena, a guided city tour through the Piazza della Signoria across the Ponte Vecchio, and optional excursions to other parts of Italy round out this exciting program where Florence is your classroom!
