Fresno State is located in central California within easy driving distance of three national parks: Yosemite, Sequoia, and Kings Canyon that offer recreational opportunities such as backpacking, hiking, sailing, mountain climbing, skiing, and horseback riding all about an hours drive away. the California central coast, Los Angeles area and the San Francisco bay are no more than 3-4 hours away by car.
