Excess Units
Undergraduates:
If you have the minimum GPA to qualify (2.5 for 19 units, 3.0 for 20-22 units), online registration will automatically allow excess units. If you do not have the minimum required GPA, you must secure approval for excess units from your major department; then complete and return an Excess Units form to the Admissions/ Records Service Windows. Undeclared majors go to the Office of Advising Services, Joyal Admin. Bldg., Room 224.
Postbaccalaureates:
Online registration will limit postbaccaluareate students to 16 units. Postbaccalaureate students must secure permission from the Division of Graduate Studies.
All Students:
If you do not have approval for excess units, your course load may be reduced to 18, or the number nearest 18, deleting the lowest schedule number in your program.
