Scheduled Visits to Research Sites – “Research Shadowing”

Interested students, such as those taking the Introduction to Biomedical and Behavioral Research course, can arrange a shadowing experience through the RISE Resource Center to be established the first year of the grant. Shadowing provides the interested student with a look at how research is conducted and an opportunity to interact one-on-one with a student doing research. The research student will get the opportunity to explain his or her work and to act as a role model. Students interested in shadowing will participate for eight hours. The shadowing could be in one laboratory or two, depending on a student’s interests.
