Biology Degrees and Programs Overview
The Department of Biology offers a number of undergraduate and graduate degree programs to prepare students for varied carreers in the biological sciences.
Undergraduate students majoring in biology must complete the Biology Core curriculum as well as electives taylored to one of three major options (Ecology, Evolution and Organismal option, Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology option, and the Anatomy and Physiology option.
Graduate students may choose to earn a Master of Science degree, earned by completion of original research in collaboration with one of the Department's graduate faculty members, or to enter one of two graduate programs in Biotechnology, a Professional Masters in Biotechnology, or the Postbachelareate Certificate of Biotechnology.
