Starting Fall 2005, two Professional Science Master's (PSM) degrees
will be offered at California State University, Fresno in
Biotechnology and Forensic Science. A PSM
Degree will prepare students who have been educated in the sciences
to enter industry/government careers directly rather than continuing their
graduate education into more research-focused Ph.D. programs. These
programs emphasize a strong industry/agency-centered approach in the
curriculum, including familiarity with business/legal practices and
culture.
The Professional Master's Degree in Biotechnology will be administered through the Department of Biology in the College of Science and Mathematics. The Professional Master's of Science in Forensic Science will be offered through the Chemistry Department in the College of Science and Mathematics.
