Plan Implementation
The 2000/01 academic year is the third year of the implementation of the Plan's goals. During the Spring of 2000, the Strategic Planning Group identified nine priority areas for funding and the vice presidents were asked to prepare proposals that would support the achievement of the priorities. A total of $500,000 was allocated to support the following strategic initiatives during the 2000/01 academic year:
- Assigned Time for Faculty/Relocation and Start-up Funds $57,200
This is one-time funding subject to the number of faculty hires/retirements annually. - Faculty Recruitment$50,600
This is one-time funding subject to the number of faculty hires/retirements annually. - Research and Scholarly Activity$50,000
- International Recruitment$50,000
This allocation is one-time funding for postage and travel. - Remedial Education $91,800
One-time funding in the amount of $59,400 for Math/English, $9,000 for ESL 30, $9,600 for Lee AR Reading, and $13,800 for Math. - Student Advising Publication$6,300
