Special Election

May 19 Special Election Will Impact the California State University Propositions 1A-1E will be part of a Special Election for California voters on May 19, 2009. The propositions were adopted by the Legislature with a two-thirds vote and supported by the Governor as part of the 2009-10 state budget package. The CSU Board of Trustees voted to endorse a yes vote on Propositions 1A-1E because of the direct impact they will have on the CSU. Most of the measures provide new revenues to help balance the state's General Fund budget over the next several years. This directly impacts the CSU as two-thirds of its budget comes from the state General Fund.
