The College of Engineering and Computer Science is the only publicly supported engineering school in the San Joaquin Valley. The mission of the college is to develop each student's potential to the greatest extent possible, provide a quality engineering education to all students, and to serve students from groups that historically have not participated in a university engineering education.
To reach these goals, the College of Engineering and Computer Science provides excellent scholarship support for students and maintains a computer system with 150 student workstations.
The Civil, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, and Geomatics Engineering programs are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). The Construction Management Program is accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE).
The College of Engineering and Computer Science fosters programs and activities that support and enhance instruction and that encourage the development of the faculty.
