The Digital Campus. The Digital Campus serves all Fresno State students, faculty, and staff by providing access and support for Blackboard - an online course management system used for delivering dynamic, interactive online courses and for fostering online communication for various campus organizations.

Whether here on campus or located remotely in the region or overseas, all enrolled students can participate in the Digital Campus experience by taking either partially Web-enhanced courses that supplement the traditional classroom experience or completely Web-based courses in which online attendance is required.

Blackboard.
The Digital Campus online courses are brought to you through Blackboard, a powerful Web-based e-Learning portal system. Students are able to have access to the Digital Campus with a single login at http://blackboard.csufresno.edu/.

Students have 24/7-access to Blackboard in order to:

  • View or print syllabi and lecture notes
  • View video/audio provided by faculty
  • Engage in discussion boards with fellow students
  • Meet faculty and students in the Virtual Classroom
  • Submit assignments via the Digital Drop Box
  • Take quizzes and exams online
  • Check grades
  • Research vast Web resources

Course Catalog. To preview the more than 500 courses in the Digital Campus Course Catalog, go to http://blackboard.csufresno.edu/ and click on the Course Catalog button. Courses listed are either partially Web-enhanced and fully Web-based. Most courses can be previewed as a guest by clicking the Preview button.

Here to Help. In the fall semester of 2002, more than 75 percent of the student population participated in Digital Campus online courses (15,000 students). The Digital Campus provides training for students, faculty, and staff through workshops, consultation, and drop-in assistance through the Digital Campus Resource Center located in McKee Fisk. The staff consists of instructional designers, trainers, and technology and production support assistants who are cheerful and ready to help in any way.
